My Dog Runty

Runty, I love you so very much----my Special Little Man.
You are rather outnumbered by all the Girls, but perhaps that was your plan!
You've been adored by many since you entered this world----a tiny, vunerable scrap.
Your first few weeks were very precarious----you spent many hours on my lap.

You favour going for walks and chasing cats, and on my lap you still choose to be.
As the only Boy, you are sure you're the Boss----but the Girls are in charge, you just can't see!
Many times I do rush to come home, and shut the door on the cold world outside.
Your eyes tell of unspoken devotion, and in you I feel I want to confide.
